In 1983, Scott D. Shapiro left Price Waterhouse to join the firm of Harvey Kaufman, CPA. Scott knew early in his career
that he wanted to provide high quality accounting and tax services to small and mid-sized businesses and individuals. He
believed the best way to accomplish that goal was to join a small, local accounting firm. After forming the partnership of
Kaufman & Shapiro, CPAs in 1986, they moved to the Office Court in Ramsey, New Jersey, where the firm is still located.
In 1994, they merged their practice with Mark S. Weber, CPA, another Price Waterhouse Alumni, to form Kaufman, Shapiro &
Weber, CPAs. Harvey Kaufman retired from the firm the following year. The firm name was changed to Weber & Shapiro,
CPAs, and later to Weber, Shapiro & Company LLP. Since its formation, Weber, Shapiro & Company has grown considerably,
through referrals, by providing outstanding services to small- to mid-sized businesses and individuals.
